Well, I've gone mobile ... and I'm posting more out of boredom than design. I'm on my way to Denver for a week long training school. I made it about a half mile from home on ThirtyWhat's Grand Adventure before hitting my first snag.
(my ex-husband) brought me out here to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Capital Airport and Subway Stop ... and I did the normal travel routine. Checked baggage ... got bording passes ... and went through security screening.
I was oh so careful to put all gels, liquids, aerosols, pastes, and general goo into my check-in baggage. I made sure I didn't have any nail clippers, pocket knives or other weapons of mass destruction on my person. I'm telling you, I dotted my i's and crossed my t's.
Mother Nature, on the other hand, wasn't so courteous. I hear it's raining at O'Hare ... and they've delayed my flight for over an hour. The silver lining in this craptacular cloud is that our local airport has wi-fi! So, I'm sitting here listening to an audio book, logged into instant messanger, and blogging my heart out. It's like being at home ... with a lot of strangers.
So, the plan is to post a message from O'Hare (if we can have free wi-fi in Springfield surely they've got it up there, right?) And then again from my hotel room in Golden. Keep your fingers crossed, everybody!
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
I'm leavin' on a jet plane
I Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go
