Tomorrow is an auspicious day, folks. November 19th marks the first anniversary of OMIGOD - I'm ThirtyWhat. What started off as a lark is now one year old. What a trip.
A lot has changed in the last 365 days ... some for the better ... some for the worse. We lost Dad to congestive heart failure a little over five months ago. Mom sold their place in the country and moved back to town. Our oldest went off to college and practically dropped off the face of the Earth. My Mother-In-Law just got engaged. You know, you don't realize how quickly everything changes until you take a moment to stop and look around.
So raise your glass for a toast ... may the next 365 days be happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous ... and may the saddest day of our future be no worse than the happiest day of our past.
