Follow The Yellow Brick ARGH ...

I haven't posted in a few weeks ... and I have much to write ... but I do have one thing I have to get off my chest ...

What in the hell is the deal with the Wizard of Oz at Rotary Park? They're showing commercials for this every 5 minutes on every channel on Comcast. I didn't even know we had a Rotary Park in Springfield ... and now I can't escape the park or it's ubiquitous advertising.

What's the angle on this thing? Free movie ... free pizza ... free refreshments? Who is paying for the advertising? I can't find anything online about it. Why are they pushing this thing as though it's the second coming of Christ?

That damned commercial is driving me nuts ...

Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Follow the Yellow Brick, Follow the Yellow Brick,
Follow the Yellow Brick Road

The Wizard of Oz - We're Off To See the Wizard

I think it's sponsored by comcast and some car dealership, unlike all the other movie-in-the-park nights which are Spfld Park District produced. I'm not sure why they're doing it, but we're taking some of our kids, the older two deciding that they're much too cool to attend.

    Nice to see you back!

You know something weird? Stewie's never seen Wizard of Oz.

Maybe I'll drag him to it. Course, I've forgotten what day it is.... I'll have to wait till next commercial break to find out.
