Today I got to thinking ... we needed a present for First Wife since she's having a Christmas party. So I ran back over to the craft mall to look for something she might like. When I was finished there, I ran to Peases (again) thinking I could find something ... which, come to find out, they don't even make. And when I walked out their door, I noticed that right next door ... was a nail salon.
I know it's probably a sin of some sort to spend money on yourself two days before Christmas but ... I went ahead and got a pedicure anyway. SO relaxing ... SO nice.
I stopped by Stoney's and visited for a little bit ... I showed him the presents I picked up and we watched a comedy special that was both hilarious and disturbing all at the same time. I couldn't stay long because, unlike some people, I have to work tomorrow ... but it was a nice afternoon.
Sigh ... okay, time for truthfulness. I still haven't finished the sock monkey I need to sew ... I was so tired when I got home that I managed to get a shower and fold a big load of clean laundry ... but that was about it. In fact, right now ... at nine o'clock ... I could shut my eyes and go to sleep for the night. I know I need to pick up that monkey over there and sew ... but right now ... I can hardly keep my eyes open.
Two days till Christmas! Tomorrow night I'll make a dessert for First Wife's party ... wrap the last few things I have to do ... and yes ... finish sewing the monkey. But tonight? I need a little more sleep ....
